With a focus on In-box sales or core accessories, such as a mains charger to power the core end equipment, many brands are not able to fully realise the untapped potential for new categories that complement the existing portfolio based on the end customer use case.

Obvious examples for portable products could be further power accessories that complement use 'on the move' such as car chargers and power banks that would not be found In-box, and whilst they could be available as 3rd party or unbranded aftermarket products, the lack of branded accessory availability can detract from the value of the original product and influence customer purchasing behaviour. Such branded 'complimentary' accessories can easily be provided under a licensing agreement to enhance the brand without the complexity of product purchasing, warehousing and distribution.
