A well known customer has a target to immediately eliminate all 'single-use plastic' (SUP) packaging in advance of national legislation.

As a business with a focus on Sustainability, this was a challenge that we readily accepted. On Inspection, the main issue to be addressed was the plastic tape used to close the cartons and the plastic wrap used to hold the case-packs on the pallet.

After various trials against defined transport tests, this was replaced with paper tape on the cartons and a cardboard outer box with card stiffeners and paper tape for the pallet stack.
